My Bio: I was born and raised here in Olympia, Washington. I am married with children. Our oldest has returned from serving our country as a regular Army combat medic in Iraq. I work full time and am heavily invested and involved in community service. No matter how hectic my schedule, though, I find there is always time for photography!

Photography and creating digital artworks is my passion. I receive such satisfaction in the art of capturing moments in time. Creating keepsakes for others is equally rewarding. I'd like to say I focus on a certain type of photography but must say I have no focus - I love it all!

UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL PHOTOGRAPHY AND DIGITAL IMAGING represents the center of my photography.

UP CLOSE: I love taking macro photos of flowers, close ups of butterflies, dragonflies and bees. I also enjoy architecture, statuary, scenery, wildlife and all things marine.

AND PERSONAL: I am a wedding/civil union and special event photographer who utilizes a journalistic approach to your events. In addition to posed portraits, I rely on candid photos I take to capture the emotion and significance of your event. I have experience designing personal digital collages, scrapbooks and photo albums. Photo keepsakes make wonderful family gifts and an irreplaceable record for generations to come. I work primarily with PhotoShop and Painter. I am familiar and work with several other programs and their unique features.

Other events include campaign activities, parades, or just about anything you can imagine. In addition to paid events, I donate my time and services to local school activities so special school events (like 8th grade dances, end of the year elementary school b-b-qs, etc) are memorialized and photos (at cost only) are affordable for students.

My camera is a Canon 10D. I also occasionally use a Canon G2 and a Canon Rebel 35mm.

I have included a gallery of a digital scrapbook-style WEDDING ALBUM I created (I also took all of the photos) - it was my first such attempt and I have progressed from there. The layouts are original, made without any templates and created with the content foremost in mind. Please see BILL AND MARYANN'S ALBUM, as well as KATHY AND BRYAN, for my most recent wedding photos and albums. You will not find anyone else who can create such a unique and personalized product for you at a price you can afford.

I dove headfirst into the realm of digital art, each piece of art built from a photograph. I am fortunate to have three displays in our community where much of my photography and artworks are featured and on sale.

I am a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals.
